Logistics Operations Specialist for LOTS Group

Do you want to transform European logistics into becoming more sustainable and efficient through AI powered battery electric logistics and strategic partnerships? If so, this job could be for you.

LOTS Group, a fully-owned subsidiary of Scania, is joining forces with goods owners in the transition to sustainable logistics and making the necessary changes to reduce CO2 emissions. By consolidating transport volumes, employing the latest technology, and optimizing for the perfect balance between operational efficiency and sustainability we aim to fast-track the green transition

Our overarching mission at LOTS Group is to expedite the transition towards a sustainable and green logistics ecosystem. This is pursued through the development of services grounded in four key pillars: the adoption of Scania's Lean methodology, the incorporation of cutting-edge technology, the provision of customer-specific solutions, and a commitment to leading in safety, sustainability, and compliance. In adhering to these principles, LOTS contributes to the expansion of Scania's commercial and operational capabilities, preparing for an era in which emerging technologies will disrupt the logistics sector.

The Position

We are looking for a curious and self-driven individual with a strong passion for both technology and operations, working closely with our customers in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You have an open mind and enjoy building and creating in a context where the way forward is not always entirely clear.

As a logistics operations specialist, you will be a key part of LOTS Operations, ensuring that our customer contracts run smoothly with the highest quality.

Examples of Responsibilities:

  • Transport Management: Handle daily logistics operations, such as transport bookings and deviation handling, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate Logistics Activities: Lead the onboarding process for new customer deals. Manage and oversee end-to-end logistics operations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the supply chain and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
  • Sourcing Transport Capacity: Secure transport capacity to meet the company’s logistics needs. Negotiate contracts and terms with transport providers to achieve the best possible pricing and service levels.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales, customer service, and finance, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

This position is based at our office in Stockholm, near the central station. As we are a global organization, occasional international travel will be expected. You will work closely with our European and Global teams, but you will have significant responsibility within your region.

At LOTS, our employees enjoy both freedom and responsibility. As a team member, you are expected to follow our processes and methods but also apply your own business sense, creativity, leadership, and good judgment to solve challenges and tasks where no standard solution exists. The growing nature of the company allows – and requires – us to be self-driven and solution-oriented.

About You

We believe you are a creative and skilled individual who enjoys tackling new challenges. You see ambiguity as an opportunity to make an impact and enjoy contributing to LOTS' growth. You appreciate the young, entrepreneurial culture and the ambitious colleagues around you. You are a true team player who both supports others and seeks help when needed to achieve the team’s success.

We see that you have at least 3-5 years of experience in operations and procurement – preferably in logistics or another relevant field. You have experience managing end-to-end supply chains, from implementing new operations to securing capacity, all while ensuring customer satisfaction.

To succeed in this role, you will also need:

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze logistics data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize the supply chain. Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve any disruptions in the chain promptly and effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments, suppliers, and transport providers.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics and supply chain management systems and tools to manage and optimize operations.
  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and ensure smooth operations.
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts and terms with transport providers to secure the best possible pricing and service levels.
  • Teamwork: A supportive team player who readily offers help and seeks assistance to ensure the team’s success.
  • Operational Expertise: Experience in daily logistics operations, including transport management and deviation handling to meet service level agreements.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Swedish and English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • IT Competence: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems.
