What you will do

As part of the Driver Training Team, you will get to work independently, to deliver world-class Scania Driver Training, Coaching and Tools for Scania drivers. Specifically you will work with our clients’ drivers to ensure they have the skills to operate their Scania vehicles to optimal efficiency. Main region will be Lower North Island, at times other areas around New Zealand.

Our progressive techniques are aimed at immediately increasing road safety, fuel efficiency and sustainability, while significantly reducing downtime and operating costs. You will be responsible for;

  • Ensuring drivers are aware of all the features of our vehicles and are able to utilise them to maximum efficiency
  • Coordinating training requirements with Performance Analysts and customers
  • Delivering classroom, webinar and in cab presentations along with on the road training
  • Attending truck shows
  • Planning, designing and implementing competency-based assessments to measure participant performance

Who you are

To be successful as a Driver Trainer within our organisation, you will be a self-motivated and experienced truck driver with a Class 5 license. You will also have:

  • Experienced Scania driver with good product knowledge
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Instructors Endorsement
  • Current Class 5 licence and Heavy Transport license
  • DG goods licence (advantageous)
  • Excellent time mgt and problem solving skills. Flexible
  • Wiri, Auckland or Waikato location ideally
