What you will do

Based in our Auckland office, this role reports to the National Pre Sales Manager and plays a key role in ensuring excellent stakeholder engagement and expectations are achieved.

The Pre Sales Product Engineers purpose is to provide solution consulting throughout the sales cycle to associates and customers. Key responsibilities

  • Provide solution consulting throughout the sales cycle to internal and external customers to meet commercial requirements and NZ compliance standards
  • Assist with technical assessments for new vehicles and local adaptations
  • Provide technical training to internal and external stakeholders
  • Review vehicle specifications to ensure application suitability and compliance

 

 

About you

To be successful as a Pre Sales Product Engineer within our organisation, we believe that you possess the following:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
  • Qualifications in Heavy Vehicle on Road Transport
  • Experience in New Zealand heavy vehicle industry an advantage
  • A passion for the heavy automotive industry
  • NZ transport legislation knowledge an advantage
  • New Zealand class 4 driver’s licence (preferred)
  • Excellent, time management, organization and communication skills required
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications
  • Experience with computer drawing applications, e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks
  • Ability to negotiate and influence internal and external customers
