Role Summary

Scania Romania is recruiting a Business Controller to join our team in  Ciorogarla, Ilfov.

The main responsibility of the Business Controller is to create and drive an active dialogue with managers and other employees in financial understanding, performance and profitability. This is achieved by actively challenge existing ways of working and identifying improvement opportunities and by pro-actively setting and following up targets. Ensuring a correct business support considering performance, risk control and achievement of business objectives throughout the organisation.

  • Hybrid working (up to 10 days per month)  

  • 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Additional vacation days based on seniority with Scania.

Job Responsibilities

As Business Controller, you have or you can:

Business Planning

Contribute to the development of annual business plans; contribute with developing business cases for key activities/projects and with estimating the financial and human resources required to deliver performance targets.

Information and Business Advice

Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving queries and issues and referring very complex or contentious issues to others.

Insights and Reporting

Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.

Recommendations

Advise managers how to apply a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents.

Internal Client Relationship Management

Build effective working relationships within the internal client organization, delivering high-quality professional services with guidance from senior colleagues.

Stakeholder Engagement

Assist with stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings, events, and supporting materials to promote stakeholder understanding and commitment.

Financial Management and Control

Work within established systems to deliver prescribed outcomes for a designated area of financial control.

Project Management

Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.

Financial Policies, Guidelines, and Protocols

Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.

Operational Compliance

Identify, within the team, instances of non-compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these and escalating issues as appropriate.

Personal Capability Building

Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

About YOU:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, or a similar field

  • Previous experience working as a Bussines Contrroler

  • Business Plan and Market Plan Process
  • Accounting and Financial Systems, processes and Technology
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Patience and resilience

  • Good English skills
