Area Services Manager Hungary
Role Summary
The Area Services Manager Hungary is responsible for driving the growth, profitability and operational performance of the Services business across Scania Hungary.
The role leads the implementation of the Services strategy, develops customer relationships, supports the dealer network and ensures sustainable business growth in areas including service contracts, workshop performance, parts, digital services and customer uptime solutions.
The position acts as the key link between Scania CER Services management and the Hungarian market, ensuring that strategic objectives are translated into measurable business results.
Main Responsibilities
Business Development & Services Sales
- Drive growth and profitability of the Services business in Hungary.
- Develop and implement local Services action plans aligned with CER strategy.
- Support sales of Service Contracts, Digital Services and other customer solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities and increase customer penetration.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitive activities.
Customer Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and fleet operators.
- Support customer retention and long-term partnerships.
- Participate in customer meetings, negotiations and business reviews.
- Contribute to initiatives focused on customer satisfaction and uptime.
Performance Management
- Monitor and analyze Services KPIs and business performance.
- Drive improvement activities related to workshop efficiency, productivity, lead time and service quality.
- Follow up Service Contract performance, profitability and portfolio development.
- Ensure achievement of regional and local business targets.
Dealer & Network Support
- Support the Hungarian dealer and workshop network in executing Services initiatives.
- Share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate activities between local operations and CER Services management.
- Support implementation of new services, processes and digital solutions.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead cross-functional projects and business initiatives.
- Coach and support colleagues in achieving business objectives.
- Cooperate closely with workshop management, sales teams and regional stakeholders.
- Promote Scania values, culture and customer-centric mindset.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare business reports, analyses and performance reviews.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with Scania policies, processes and ethical standards.
Requirements
- University degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
- Experience within aftersales, services, commercial operations or transport industry.
- Strong understanding of workshop operations and customer business.
- Experience in sales, business development or account management.
- Analytical mindset and ability to work with KPIs and financial data.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent Hungarian and English.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within Hungary.
