Junior Accountant

Role Summary

We are looking for a careful and detail-oriented colleague to join the TRATON Financial Services Czech Republic team as a Junior Accountant on a part-time basis (20 hours / week).

What will you do?

• Maintain and check accounting records on a daily basis.
• Issue and account for rental invoices.
• Administer and account for the rental contract portfolio.
• Enter related information into the accounting system.
• Collect data, documents and information related to rental transactions.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and account for related transactions.
• Process travel expense claims and expenses paid using company payment cards.
• Check and process vehicle logbooks.
• Participate in monthly and year-end closing activities as instructed by the Chief Accountant.
• Prepare additional reports and statistics.
• Support cooperation with external auditors and tax advisors.

What are we looking for?

• Secondary or university education in economics, accounting or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• At least three years of experience in accounting or in a junior accounting position.
• Good understanding of accounting documents, such as incoming and outgoing invoices and bank statements.
• Experience with travel expense claims, company payment cards or vehicle logbooks.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• A careful, reliable approach and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and responsibly, together with a willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent Czech or Slovak language, basic knowledge of English at A2 level.
• An interest in financing, leasing and contract administration.

It would be an advantage if you have

• Experience from a financial or leasing company.
• Experience with the Arbes accounting system.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, especially the FI/CO modules.
• Knowledge of the HFM reporting system.
