HGV Technician Conversion Programme

Scania – HGV Technician conversion Programme (suited for Light vehicle Technicians, Plant equipment Technicians or Agricultural equipment Technicians)


Location: Glasgow


Salary: Starting from £36,150 plus excellent benefits package.


Working Hours: Alternating shifts (early and lates) with some Saturday morning work required.

 


Scania GB are offering a conversion programme to Technicians from the Light vehicle, Plant or Agricultural sector.


This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to convert their current skills and train to become a Scania HGV Technician.  

 


This programme will be a mixture of on-site mentoring and bespoke training at our National Training Academy. Whilst on site, you will be partnered with experienced Scania technicians and be allocated a mentor to observe and shadow. Whilst at the National Training Academy, you will benefit from bespoke Scania training delivered by our own in-house training experts.


We will provide you with all the tools and knowledge you need to succeed, with an opportunity to gain an industry recognised IRTEC qualification and a Scania Roadside Assistance qualification.

To join this program, you will have:
•    The desire to utilise your current experience, to convert to the Heavy Vehicle industry
•    An apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (NVQ Lv2 or equivalent may be considered)
•    A minimum of 3 years’ mechanical experience

FEBRUARY 2025    
MARCH 2025
JUNE 2025
JULY 2025
