Scania Danmark is seeking an experienced and visionary Dealer Director to lead one of our 3 Dealers in delivering exceptional customer outcomes and driving sustainable business performance. This is a key leadership position, responsible for ensuring that The Scania Way —our operational model — lives and breathes in every aspect of the Dealer’s operations.

 

This position reports directly to the Managing Director of Scania Danmark A/S Pär Landén and will be a part of the extended management team in Scania Danmark.

 

The role

The Dealer Director is responsible for a sales organization and a service organization represented by several workshops (this is referred to as the dealership / dealer). The sales manager and workshop managers will be part of the management team of the dealership and directly reporting to the Dealer Director.

The Dealer Director will lead, collaborate and proactively manage the dealer management team to define and execute the Dealer’s strategy, ensuring the achievement of business objectives while driving continuous improvement across all key performance areas.

 

The Dealer Director is also responsible for managing daily operations, maximize customer satisfaction and developing motivated teams in order to achieve financial and businesses performance targets -. thereby contributing directly to Scania’s profitability.

 

As Dealer Director, you will:

  • Lead – Proactively lead, manage, and develop the Dealer to deliver outstanding customer outcomes, ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence.
  • Deliver – Define and implement the Dealer’s strategy with the dealer management team, ensuring business objectives are achieved while continuously improving performance across all focus areas.
  • Collaborate – Be an active member of the Scania Danmark extended Leadership Team, acting as a vital link between the Distributor and the Dealer, and contributing to discussions that extend beyond regional responsibility to drive cultural and financial progress across the business.

  2. People – Attract, develop, and retain top talent with the right skills and attitudes.
  3. Customers – Ensure exceptional customer experiences and outcomes.
  4. Leadership – Inspire, organize, and motivate the Dealer team to maximize performance.
  5. Standardization – Implement standardized processes, roles, systems, and policies to ensure consistent ways of working across all Dealers.
  6. Performance & KPIs – Coach and lead daily operations to meet financial and business performance targets, while executing the business strategy effectively.

 

Competencies

  • Dealership Management – Create profitability by managing the dealership to meet current and future customer needs and business targets in line with Scania’s plans and strategies.
  • Dealership Operations – Run daily operations in a safe and profitable way by setting and following up clear targets, enabling and engaging teams, and implementing a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Dealership Sales & Marketing – Act as a strong external representative for both the Dealership and Scania. Build visibility in the market by engaging with customers, business associations, unions, schools, and other key stakeholders.

 

Qualifications & experience

  • Extensive managerial and leadership experience, preferably in the heavy vehicle industry or a related B2B sector.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large teams with full P&L responsibility.
  • Strong track record of delivering business performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Solid understanding of dealership operations, including sales, service, and marketing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and inspire both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset combined with hands-on operational execution skills. 
  • Professional fluency in English is required, while Danish is an advantage
