Role Summary
The Tachograph Services group is part of the Digital Services Flow and is responsible for developing and operating digital services related to tachograph data, driving times, and regulatory compliance. These services are critical for our customers’ daily operations and legal compliance in multiple markets.
The team works at the intersection of technology, regulation, and commercial services, collaborating closely with solution management, sales, legal, and external partners as part of Scania’s growing digital services portfolio.
As Head of Tachograph Services, you will lead and develop agile teams within the Digital Services Flow, with end-to-end responsibility for people leadership, service delivery, security, profitability, and strategic development.
You will act as a bridge between technical teams and commercial stakeholders, contribute to shaping service strategy, and play an active role in the leadership team driving Scania’s customer digitalization journey.
Job Responsibilities
Leadership & People
- Lead and manage agile software teams delivering tachograph and driving time services
- Ensure strong team health, engagement, and sustainable performance
- Own career development plans, coaching, and talent growth
- Conduct performance reviews and support continuous improvement
- Optimize team setup, including recruitment, onboarding, and team composition
Service & Delivery
- Ensure high service quality, availability, and customer satisfaction
- Take full responsibility for service security and GDPR compliance
- Oversee SDLC practices, promoting modern engineering standards and effective use of AI for productivity
- Bridge technical and commercial perspectives to ensure aligned value delivery
- Collaborate and coordinate team assignments and priorities within the flow, aligned with value flow objectives
Business & Strategy
- Own service profitability, including budget monitoring and cost control
- Handle administrative responsibilities such as invoice handling, account ordering, and vendor contracting
- Participate in guiding commercial direction and service strategy
- Monitor market outlook, identify opportunities, and explore partnerships
- Contribute as a leadership team member to the overall Customer Digitalization and Digital Services strategy at Scania
Who You Are
You have a long experience of leading agile Automotive / software development teams with a proven track record of building high-performing teams; and you’ve previously worked in enterprise-scale organisations – preferably within Scania or similar company.
To be successful in the role, you need to have a deep understanding of agile and SAFe frameworks and their practical application, including how value flows across organisational boundaries.
In addition to knowing how to work with the full software development life cycle and modern software delivery practices, you have also worked with AI-driven productivity improvements.
Seeing as we are working with customer-driven software, you also have the ability to understand markets dynamics and identify business and partnership opportunities.

In the role it is important that you are able to balance your strategic mindset with operational excellence to drive value forward, while ensuring stability for our customers’ daily operations.
