Technical Manager

Role Summary

The main responsibility of the Technical Manager is to ensure that technical support activities are established, follow up product quality & rectifying activities along with EPS responsibilities. This role requires to create and build Product Support & Assist markets when reporting product deviations from business unit to factory so that the customers’ needs are best served.

Job Responsibilities

Professional Competencies (Duties and Tasks)

1. Managing the Technical Support Department

  • Ensure smooth daily running of Technical Support for Malaysia and Singapore.

2. Managing and Handling of Technical Help Desk cases

  • Ensure the efficient and timely handling of Technical cases

3.  Spread Technical knowledge

  • Cascade knowledge and experience gained to better inform and train dealer workshops

4. Managing Scania Assistance operations

5. Manage Warranty Operations

  • Run the Warranty operation in a professional way, secure that the warranty manual is followed within the Scania network. Act with high standards and integrity towards the Scania network and the central warranty department

6.  Managing improvement work according to the Scania Way (SRS)

  • Set agenda for standardized work methods and improvement activities and manage resources within the same department

 

Desirable Experience & Qualifications
•    Relevant Education or equivalent work experience
•    Business knowledge and experience from a similar role an advantage
•    Managerial and Leadership experience
•    Fluent in English
