Delivery and Driver Training Specialist

Role Summary

The main responsibility of the Delivery and Driver Training Specialist is to handle professional vehicle handovers, ensuring customers understand the vehicle’s features, operation, and safety guidelines. This includes conducting hands-on demonstrations, coordinating vehicle deliveries, and assisting with customer inquiries. Additionally, the role involves providing coaching on safe and efficient driving practices to enhance customer experience and vehicle performance.

Job Responsibilities

Professional Competencies (Duties and Tasks)

1. Vehicle Movement and Handover

  • Explain how Scania features work in a clear understandable way to people with varying levels of familiarity with Scania products.
  • Explain how to operate Scania products to achieve optimum performance results.
  • Expand explanations by conducting practical driver familiarisation in order to demonstrate and teach how to achieve optimum performance results.
  • Accurately complete vehicle handover documentation, obtaining customer signatures where necessary.
  • Carry out vehicle movements, collecting and delivering vehicles to and from bodybuilders and other third party suppliers.
  • Professionally represent Scania at all times conveying the required Scania brand image.
  • Support Sales Administrators when necessary to ensure timely final delivery preparations of vehicles to customers

2.  Driver Training on Safe & Efficient Driving Techniques

  • Prepare training activity to ensure conditions are in place for the training
  • Conduct training activity, face to face (ILT = Instructor Led Training) and remotely (vILT = virtual ILT)
  • Follow up on training activities to ensure proper monitoring and implementation.
  • Demonstrate capabilities of vehicles and best possible driving techniques

3. Improvement work according to the Scania Way (SRS)

  • Understand and act according to the Scania way frame work
  • Maintain the normal situation, detect deviations and act immediately to eliminate them
  • Contribute in daily follow-up, daily steering
  • Participate and contribute in improvement activities based on a standardized working method

 

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

  • Possess a NITEC / HIGHER NITEC related courses or automotive related
  • Prior experience as a Delivery Technician, Driver Trainer or similar role.
  • Experience in driving heavy vehicles (lorry, truck, or similar) in an operational environment.
  • Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to training or mentoring drivers
  • Possess at least Class 5 Driving License (or equivalent).
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle safety regulations and operational procedures.
  • Multilingual ability, especially proficiency in Mandarin and English.
