R&M Cost Product Manager

Role Summary

The Repair & Maintenance (R&M) cost Product manager’s responsibility is to take lead in the area of R&M cost from a commercial perspective. This includes to secure development of products, processes and supporting systems that help us at Scania to reach R&M cost targets.

Job Responsibilities

A few examples of what a Product Manager for R&M cost will do are:

 

  • Define R&M cost targets for development projects together with product property responsible at R&D and monitor and act on deviations according to given targets/methods.
  • Influence development teams to design solutions that support Scania in reaching the R&M cost targets.
  • Give input to product development processes (and other development processes) regarding repair cost development.
  • Drive and support development and improvement of pricing models for repair cost.
  • Analyse R&M cost for different Scania models and segments.

Who You Are

As a person you have a strong commercial background and are motivated to take a key role in securing that Scania has a competitive R&M offering going forward. You have strong communication skills and feel confident in doing data analysis to substantiate your arguments. You will work across Scania so being a Team-player and self-motivated is essential to succeed in the role. 

 

You ideally have: 

 

  • University degree in engineering or business and administration, alternatively additional equivalent work experience
  • Experience in product life cycle cost calculations
  • Analytical skills to evaluate our business performance and look for ways that it can improve
  • Excellent abilities to create result in a team as well as independently.
  • Fluency in English
  • A genuine customer focus with a drive to provide service excellence
  • Experience gained from working in a workshop, at a dealership, or within heavy motor industry is highly valued and beneficial for this role
