As a highly involved Safety Engineer within battery development for Traton electric vehicles, you'll take on the exciting challenge of show the way, organizing, developing, and leading current and future projects. Technological shifts will also present significant challenges in finding new ways to work and collaborate.

 

You will be a part of the VCT Energy storage battery pack and vehicle and the specifically team for the mission is battery safety in the system section. On the arena together with your team you’ll be an important part helping Traton battery developing in the right direction and in the smartest way developing the very best and safe battery pack on the market. The team and unit is global which means that you will act on an international and highly stimulating arena.

Job Responsibilities

You will work closely together with our team of specialists in Traton R&D within battery safety. Areas of the team responsibility span from electric, thermal, environmental, functional to passive safety. Except for the battery safety team you will also have a lot of contacts with other teams in several VCT’s and various parts of Traton R&D from design to testing to regulations. 

 

Your main task is:
•    To be the technical leader within the area of passive safety and ensure a that we are doing the right things together with your colleagues. 
•    To be a high performing safety engineer we believe that you will take on your own technical tasks, just as the other members of the team. For example you will own and take responsibility of the area of passive safety with tasks such as setting up requirements, working from failure tree analysis, contributing to the safety concept and to be a part of verification of the passive safety in tests. 
•    You are the one that will look at the result from the tests and draw conclusions of them. 
•    Since we value collaboration and shared competence, you’ll also contribute to other areas of safety beyond your main focus.

  • experience in related tasks within the area of mechanical safety and is much wanted
