Reports to: Dealer Director

Role Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for managing the overall sales activity within the sales department. This includes planning, analyzing and developing the sales business as well as coaching, supporting and developing the sales team in order to reach the sales targets and to deliver value to our customers.
 

Job Responsibilities

Develop, set and execute strategies, business and market plans together with other functions within the organization, securing resources needed to carry out strategy and fulfilling targets.

Monitor and analyze market and competitor activity, trends and demands, act on it when needed.

Stay informed with product and services news and other updates from the business unit.

Creating a structure for the sales team as well as individual Salespersons to act and operate within, steering, coaching and following up on targets, taking appropriate action when needed.
Lead, motivate and manage the sales department in order to improve the overall sales performance, enabling a structured sales process, cooperation with other departments, and ensuring a conscious and proactive approach are taken throughout the process.
Investigate, create and share ideas for developing new ways of working and for extending business with new and current customers.

General computer skills (Microsoft Office Suit intermediary level).

Driver's license, a heavy vehicle license is an advantage.

Fluent in English (spoken & written), Ghana local language (s) is an advantage

Education and/or Experience

Higher education in sales discipline or equivalent experience.

Business knowledge and relevant work experience in sales or from a similar role an advantage.

Sales management experience.
