What you will do 

This role is responsible for the effective supervision of the Workshop Team alongside the production manager, ensuring the workshop operation is managed utilising Scania’s Common Business Processes to deliver maximum efficiency whilst maintaining a focus on quality – right first time, on time.  Duties include:

  • Ensure there is an efficient flow of authorised work through the workshop, quality in all workmanship and documentation
  • Foster and promote a safe and healthy work environment maintaining safe work practices at all time
  • Assist the branch manager to monitor the performance and effectiveness of risk management programs, undertake and supervise the identification of hazards, evaluation of risks, design and implementation of hazard control and maintain the appropriate documentation of procedures and interventions
  • Motivate the Workshop Team to ensure effective customer outcomes and optimum efficiency levels
  • Support Team Leaders in providing clear and practical guidance to Technicians
  • Experience in new trucks preparation; Registration, compliance, Body Builders and other parties interaction, accessories fitting, Custom engineering, Pre Delivery Inspections, etc.

 

About you

  • You will have a relevant Level 4 qualification or have at least 3 years proven exp working as a Heavy Vehicle Technician
  • You take pride in quality workmanship and doing things right. Our quality standards & Scania values mean everything to us, they will mean everything to you too
  • You will thrive on ensuring customer satisfaction through your work and how you support your team – happy customers means happy you
  • You will have a current NZ Driver’s License
