About the Role :
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will design, develop, and enhance ServiceNow solutions with a specific focus on HRSD. You will work closely with HR, IT, and cross-functional teams to identify and deliver efficient, scalable solutions that meet business needs.
Scania is also preparing ServiceNow for the next phase of digital evolution, including AI-driven enhancements and increased automation. You will play a vital role in enabling and supporting these initiatives while modernizing the HR landscape .
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and configure ServiceNow applications within the HRSD module
- Work hands-on in ServiceNow HRSD – actively building, scripting, configuring, and optimizing the platform
- Build and maintain Knowledge Management structures and best practices
- Create and optimize reports and dashboards for data-driven decision-making
- Write high-quality scripts to automate workflows and enhance user experience
- Communicate progress clearly, ensuring stakeholders understand status, decisions, and next steps
- Explain solutions and technical concepts in a clear and accessible way to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Communicate effectively across different organizational levels, from team members to senior stakeholders
- Contribute to preparing the platform for AI and automation features, ensuring readiness for future enhancements
- Stay continuously up to date with the latest ServiceNow features, releases, and best practices, and proactively apply new learnings
- Collaborate with product owners, HR specialists, architects, and team members to deliver value through continuous improvements
- Ensure solution quality, proper documentation, and adherence to development standards
- Troubleshoot issues, propose solutions, and act as a proactive problem solver
Your Profile:
We believe you are a doer – someone who takes initiative, enjoys getting things done, and consistently delivers. You also bring:
- Solid experience working with ServiceNow HRSD
- Very good knowledge of Knowledge Management, including content structure and best practices
- Very good skills in ServiceNow reporting and Performance Analytics
- Practical experience with JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting
- Proven ability to work hands-on in ServiceNow from design to implementation
- Excellent communication skills – able to clearly articulate progress, challenges, and solutions, and explain complex technical concepts in an understandable way
- An open and honest communication style that builds trust and transparency
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A structured, solution-oriented approach and a passion for continuous improvement
- Curiosity and interest in AI, automation, and emerging ServiceNow capabilities
