Mining Aftersales Support Representative

Role Summary

The Aftersales Support role is responsible for driving mining aftersales growth through parts and technical support, on-site customer engagement, and off-site rebuild opportunities. The role provides technical, operational, and coordination support to body builders, internal stakeholders, and customers to ensure mining truck builds and aftersales services are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with customer requirements and defined KPIs.

Job Responsibilities

What you will do 

  • Promote and market Scania Mining Aftersales services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular on-site engagement.
  • Develop and implement improvement strategies to maximise market penetration and profitability within the mining aftersales business.
  • Deliver body builder training, including use of the Scania Body Builder Portal, ensuring compliance with Scania standards.
  • Participate in milestone meetings to align stakeholders on build progress, risks, variations, and timelines.
  • Provide technical input to sales teams during pre-sale and post-sale phases to ensure alignment with customer specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to body builders, customer sites, and workshops to support builds, inspections, and issue resolution.

 

Who you are

To be successful as a Mining Aftersales Support Representative you will be:

  • Technical background in heavy vehicles, automotive, or engineering (desirable).
  • Relevant experience within the trucking, transport, or mining industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy vehicles and body builder integration.
  • Experience working with body builders, aftermarket suppliers, or truck OEMs.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and build instructions.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working towards KPIs.
  • Understanding of truck programming, EMS, and vehicle configurations (desirable).
