Service Sales Representative
Role Summary
The main responsibility of an outdoor Service Sales Representative is to proactively promote and sell Scania parts and services, meeting commercial and financial targets and thereby contributing to the profitable growth of Scania.
The role is focused on 2 main areas:
- Maintaining the current contract portfolio within their area which includes regularly reviewing contracts and finalizing amendments/renewals with the customer
- Sourcing leads and promoting the Scania range of service solutions to the untapped potential of rolling fleet customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Promote and sell contracted services offerings, campaigns and other service initiatives to existing vehicle parc to increase workshop throughput and utilization in line with regional targets.
- Proactively identify contracts eligible for renewal or extension and liaise with customers as well as relevant stakeholders to conclude.
- Analyze regional portfolio performance in conjunction with contracted services team and regional management to highlight problematic contracts and establish potential solutions to be acted on.
- Build and develop customer relationships within the regional customer base through regular interaction in order to gain an in depth understanding of the customer’s business and needs.
- Ensure effective usage of FMS products by guiding and training customers on the interface in conjunction with Connected Services department.
- Ensure sales KPI’s are reported accurately and regularly according to guidelines set out. This includes Productivity KPI’s, sales progress and keeping the customer list up to date.
Applicant must meet these minimum requirements
- 3-4 years’ experience in the heavy commercial vehicle industry.
- Must have a valid Matric certificate
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have good knowledge of Microsoft Office – specifically Excel.
- Must have Code 8 Drivers licence
- Advanced level in English speaking and comprehension (Afrikaans will also be an advantage)
- Must be able to travel within the region. Travel betweenGauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga
- Further education in relevant field an advantage
- Experience in Scania systems an advantage – including Multi, Automaster, CRM, RAMAS and our FMS System.
