As Head of Pre-Sales you will play a pivotal role in enabling commercial success, by ensuring the sales organisation is equipped with the insights, tools, and strategies needed to deliver strong, customer focused outcomes.

 

Ultimately responsible for ensuring the business produces tailored, compliant proposals that deliver real value to our customers, you will continually strive to possess a deep understanding of customer needs, Scania’s products, and sustainable transport solutions.

 

The Head of Pre-Sales will champion working cross functionally with sales, product, service, and finance teams, driving alignment and collaboration to continuously refine sales and marketing strategies, helping position Scania as a trusted partner to its customers.

 

In this role you will:

 

Manage the Pre-Sales Operations

  • Ensure effective structures and processes are in place to provide the sales organisation with accurate product information and tools.
  • Collaborate with the commercial sales team on pricing strategy and structure for trucks and buses.
  • Support the successful launch of new products, including training, market introductions, and type approvals.
  • Enable sales teams to operate as effective single points of contact for customers through the right support and conditions.

 

Pre-Sales Development

  • Analyse market segments and identify new customer opportunities and overall market potential.
  • Stay up to date with customer needs and local market trends to inform decision-making.
  • Drive innovation and long-term development within the pre-sales function.
  • Contribute to the development of alternative fuel vehicle strategies and future product offerings.

 

Systemise improvement work according to the Scania Way (SRS)

  • Lead standardised work methods and continuous improvement initiatives aligned to business objectives.
  • Monitor and follow up on performance, ensuring measurable targets and outcomes are achieved.
  • Promote best practice sharing across teams and departments.
  • Apply systematic management and lean principles to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

 

 

About you:

  • Business Acumen – understands business strategy, processes, and performance drivers; applies market insight to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Customer understanding - understands customers’ businesses, needs, and drivers; identifies how Scania solutions support their profitability.
  • Leadership – leads, challenges and develops individuals and teams to achieve organisational goals; manages performance, conflict, and policy application.
  • Product knowledge – able to possess an up to date knowledge of products and services necessary to perform duties and tasks. 
  • Digitalisation – knowledge of current trends in digital and customer operations.
