Role Summary
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Oskarshamn, Sweden
Designer within Cab Product Follow Up.
Technical responsible designer within our project. Secure product properties & Quality in our projects by following our R&D milestones.
Responsible to secure that the product is correctly verified & all documentation is ready before introduction of the project.
Job Responsibilities
- Be the technical responsible for product Quality & product properties to be met in the right time with the right quality for short-term & long-term solutions to secure the interests of both internal & external customers.
- Responsible for collecting input from laboratory & responsible line designers to make fact based technical decisions.
- Produce CAD drawings in Catia for both manufacturing and assembly of our cab parts.
- Work with all types of cab parts apart from software & electronics.
- Be active in assignment / team plannings to secure our common team performance.
Who You Are
- You have education within mechanical design or similar.
- Experience from automotive and production are a merit.
- You are curious and willing to learn new and do not back down from working with new areas where you lack experience.
- Being humble and can use own and other knowledge to find great solutions is a great asset in this position.
- Being able to balance the design with respect to quality, leadtime, cost & a customer wanting solution asap is your greatest challenge.
- You are a great team player who can see the bigger picture while working with detail solutions.

We belong to Cab Product follow up section which consists of 6 units all around the globe.
We are responsible for product follow up on all brands within Traton Group.
Our Unit is located in Oskarshamn at the Cab factory which is a great place for focusing on problems & possibilities related to Cab.
We are 10 members and consists of Project Managers, Product Owner, Scrum master & designers and we are responsible for solving product changes due to improvements, quality improvements or reducing product Costs.
We work in an agile environment and in close cooperation with production, procurement & other cross functions.
