About the role

We have an opportunity to join an established sales team, reporting to our National Manager – Power Solutions.

As the Account Manager based in NSW (preferred location Sydney) with the sales territory comprising Newcastle down to Vic border, all of Victoria and Tasmania, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving the sales of Marine, Power Generation and Industrial Engines into new areas of business not currently serviced by Scania.
  • You will develop a customer base and generate new sales through both customer service (walk-in customers) and prospecting (cold-calling, lead generation).
  • You will also manage a large area and be responsible for driving sales in line with Scania strategy and business plan.
  • Work cross functionally with the Scania Retail Branches to  assist with aftersales activities (parts and service).


About you

Ideally, you will have a strong background in Marine and/or Industrial Engine and Power Generation, along with a proven record of accomplishments in sales. You will need to be a good communicator (both written and verbal) and be able to use the company’s CRM system. You will be someone who is motivated, tenacious, driven and hungry to pave a long-term successful career with a top industry leader. Your problem solving skills and ability to work autonomously will see you succeed in this role.

Experience and Qualifications include:

  • Relevant qualification in Diesel Motor Technician, Engineering or similar
  • Extensive sales experience of technical products preferably in marine, industrial and power generation Industries
  • A track record in developing innovative aftersales customer solutions
  • A good understanding of the aftermarket contracted service business
