Role Summary

 

As Advanced Sales Engineer, you serve as a central link between customers, internal development teams and the wider scania sales organisation. Your mission is to ensure that our Pilot Partner Customers has a clear understanding of what they will get and that we create the right value for both partners and Scania.

You help transform early opportunities into structured pilot offers, support decision making, and secure transparency toward the customer. You also safeguard Scania’s long-term integrity by ensuring we never commit beyond what our technology and operations can support.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Package and present customer offer with clarity, accuracy and credibility.
  • Define use cases, limitations and boundary conditions; communicate these internally and externally.
  • Conduct risk identification and support mitigation planning.
  • Understand the full order to delivery process: specifications, PRS, production slots and operational readiness.
  • Create service and R&M contracts
  • Coordinate body work adaptions
  • Coordinate registration and type approval of Small Series products
  • Act as a cross functional hub between Pilot Partner, Solutions Management, body builders, dealers, BUs and regional teams.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear customer facing communication.
  • Support pricing and financial assessments for pilot projects.
  • Track financial performance: revenue, cost, funding and deviations.
  • Capture learnings from pilot customers and share them internally.
  • Improve processes, documentation and tools for scalable pilot execution.
  • Maintain high integrity and prevent overselling or misaligned expectations.
  • Articulate and quantify customer value of pilots.

  • Experience from the sales to delivery process.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with uncertainty, early-stage solutions and evolving requirements.
  • High integrity and confidence in setting realistic expectations.
  • Fluent English both written and spoken.

 

Meritorious:

 

  • International experience, homologation knowledge, or experience working with ecosystem partners (infrastructure, energy, technology).
  • Swedish
