Role Summary

We are now looking for the next CFO for TRATON Financial Services Brasil, which also is the Head Controller of the Volkswagen Truck & Bus Financial Services. TRATON Financial Services Brasil is the business unit/brand head office of our Financial Services operation supporting Volkswagen Truck & Bus. Reporting to the local CEO/Head of Volkswagen Truck & Bus Financial Services you will be responsible to support the growth of the operation, streamline critical areas, and ensure efficiency, innovation, and high-level corporate governance. You will be an important part of the Brand Management Team, which currently oversees operation in Brazil and Mexico. You will also work closely with the TFS Group Control functions as well as the Head Controllers of the other TFS Brands. The role has a dotted reporting line to the Group Business Controller in the Group CFO organization in Sweden.

The role has a functional responsibility of accounting, controlling, treasury, credit risk and IT.

The company is initiating a structured evaluation and selection process for this key position, focusing on identifying a professional with solid experience in Finance and Banking, as well as responsibilities across IT, Legal, and Credit & Collections.

This position is entirely on-site and based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the company’s overall financial strategy, ensuring alignment with global TRATON Financial Services objectives.
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring for the brand operation in Brasil and Mexico.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and group financial reporting requirements.
• Provide strategic insights to the local CEO/Head of Brand and executive team to support decision-making and sustainable growth.
• Support the global TRATON Financial Services Treasury function with capital structure management, including funding, liquidity, and investment strategies.
• Oversee risk management, internal controls, and audit processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, regulators, and external stakeholders.
• Drive digitalization and process optimization in finance operations.
• Support the brand expansion into new markets when applicable.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability based on the TFS way.
• Align financial initiatives with sustainability and ESG goals of TRATON Group.
• Represent the company in board meetings, shareholder discussions, and external forums.
• Together with the Head Controllers of the other TFS Brands be a part of the TRATON Financial Services Finance Board, which is the forum the TRATON Financial Services global CFO uses to align the finance community topics throughout TFS globally.
  
  

Who You Are

• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in Controlling and/or Finance (preferably in a Financial Services or commercial vehicle company)
• Solid experience in Treasury and  financial instruments
• Consistent knowledge in FP&A
• Familiarity with the Brazilian economy, especially in the Truck & Bus industry
• Solid foundation in credit analysis processes, contract formalization processes, collection and portfolio management ( Backoffice activities)
• Strong knowledge of accounting (BRGAP and IFRS9)
• Deep expertise in BACEN regulations (provisions, regulatory reporting)
• Consolidated capacity in Brazilian tax structures for financial institutions
• Proficiency in Capital Management (Basel, 3 Pillar)
