Electronics Development Engineer

Join Our Team as an Electronics Development Engineer at Scania!

Are you passionate about cutting-edge technology and innovation? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where your expertise can make a real impact? Look no further! At Scania, we’re shaping the future of powertrains, and we want you to be part of our journey.

As an Electronics Development Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, integrating, and optimizing electronic components for our next-generation powertrains. Imagine diving into the exciting world of electronic control units (ECUs), sensors, and other critical components. You’ll work on both internal combustion engines and battery management systems for our electric vehicles (BEVs).

Your role

Collaborate with a dynamic team of 12 experts, each specializing in specific technical fields. Your focus areas will include electronics, electromechanics, and system-level functionality. Be the go-to person for technical queries related to the components you oversee. Engage in lively discussions about interfaces and properties, ensuring we deliver top-notch solutions.

Quality assurance is key—measure, verify, and fine-tune component properties. Safety and efficiency are our top priorities, so meticulous attention to detail is essential. Work seamlessly across departments—purchasing, R&D, production, and aftermarket—to ensure smooth operations. You’ll also liaise with sub-suppliers through virtual and face-to-face meetings.

Your profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, embedded systems, or a related field. You’re a problem solver who thrives on challenges. Taking the initiative is second nature to you. Teamwork makes the dream work! Set milestones and deliver results while fostering a positive, cooperative atmosphere. We appreciate a good laugh—being pedagogical and having a dash of humor are definite pluses.

While not mandatory, prior work in electronics, electromechanics, or sensor development is a big plus. If you’ve worked with sub-suppliers in a similar industry, we’d love to hear about it!

Join us at Scania, where innovation drives our engines and diversity fuels our success. Apply now and be part of something extraordinary!
