Global Labour Relations Specialist

Build Trust. Enable Dialogue. Support Sustainable Change

Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to providing complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions.

The Scania Way and our values - customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste - are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.

As part of People & Culture and the Leadership, Culture and People Sustainability organization (HL), the People Sustainability team works cross-functionally to strengthen Scania’s employer responsibility in areas such as organisational design, change management, labour relations, social impact and P&C compliance in close collaboration with the global and local P&C organisations as well as TRATON Group functions.

To further strengthen this work, we are now looking for a Global Labour Relations Specialist to play a key role in supporting dialogue with global social partners, enabling structured and timely engagement, and enabling alignment of principles and dialogue within a decentralised organisation.

Role Summary

In this role, you will work strategically within the Global Labour Relations domain, translating insights and organisational needs into frameworks, toolboxes and clear guidance. As Global Labour Relations Specialist, you will act as a key subject matter expert (SME) within the People Sustainability Community of Expertise (CoE), where SMEs and business representatives jointly shape domain priorities.

You will act as Scania’s central coordination point for global labour relations, facilitating structured dialogue with unions, the European Works Council and other social partners. The role supports the organisation in navigating labour-related aspects of major change initiatives and in supporting alignment of Scania’s approach with TRATON Group governance and international expectations.

The position is strategic and coordinating rather than operational. You will provide expert guidance and orchestrate stakeholders, while implementation remains with local P&C and labour relations teams. You will also monitor international labour trends and regulatory developments, translate them into Scania-relevant practices, and represent Scania in relevant internal and external forums.

Job Responsibilities

You will facilitate structured dialogue with unions, the European Works Council and the TRATON Labour Relations network. The role supports early identification of labour-related implications in organisational initiatives and helps route matters through appropriate governance structures.

You will provide labour relations analysis and advice to support global change initiatives, contribute to policy development, and support constructive negotiation environments. The role includes responsibility for global labour relations frameworks and guidance. You will also support P&C business partners and leaders through training and communication, and provide reporting on key trends, risks and developments.

Who You Are

You are a relationship-builder with a strategic mindset and a strong sense of integrity. You navigate complexity with ease, move confidently between legal, organisational and relational dimensions, and create trust among internal and external stakeholders. You provide direction and structure through policies, governance and organisation-wide processes, influence effectively across functions and geographies, and communicate clearly by making complex topics accessible to diverse audiences.

You also bring solid expertise in labour law and industrial relations, including experience working with social partners, supporting negotiations and handling sensitive labour relations matters in an international context.

Qualifications

You hold a Master’s degree or equivalent competence in a relevant field and bring several years of experience working with labour relations in an international and cross-functional context. You are comfortable operating in a global matrix organisation and communicate fluently in English; Swedish is considered an advantage.

This Is Us

You will join a highly skilled and engaged group that sets high expectations for quality and impact, supports Scania’s ongoing transformation, and genuinely cares about both results and people. We work closely together, challenge and inspire each other, and value the energy and enjoyment that come from strong collaboration and mutual trust.

Application

We welcome strong candidates regardless of location, with the possibility of remote work.

We look forward to receiving your application, consisting of your CV and kindly ask you not to share a cover letter to ensure an efficient and unbiased recruitment process for all parties.

Apply as soon as possible, no later than 2026-03-17. Screening will take place on an ongoing basis during the application period. Logical and personality tests may be used as part of the selection process, and a background check may be required for this role.
