Role Summary
Head of Risk Management to TRATON Financial Services' is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the central risk control function within the organization. TRATON Financial Services, a newly established group-wide financial services unit within the TRATON Group, supports sustainable transportation across its global footprint. The Head of Risk Management plays a vital role in advising, supporting and controlling risk management centrally and globally, ensuring the organization’s risk framework is effectively applied and continuously developed. This role reports directly to the Head of GRC and also independently to management, the board and the audit committee.
The role is based in Stockholm/Södertälje, with flexibility and some travel required. You’ll thrive here if you enjoy working in a dynamic environment, close to the business, but with a strategic global scope.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide ad hoc advice and support, as well as regular training to the organization, including Head Office and Business Units, on the application of the risk management framework.
- Follow up and report on risks, incidents, and corresponding response plans.
- Monitor and report on the outcome of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) in relation to established risk limits.
- Coach and support the staff within the central risk function.
- Support and guide the global network of second-line risk professionals.
- Develop and administer procedures for risk function operations, continuously seeking new ways to support the business and add strategic value.
- Ensure processes and procedures are in place for risk strategy, risk appetite and limits (KRIs), approval of material changes (NPAP), and incident management and reporting.
- Maintain strong stakeholder management, communicating effectively and confidently challenging senior and tough stakeholders in a constructive manner.
- Shape travel and working arrangements flexibly to meet the needs of the role.
Who You Are
- You bring a minimum of 8-10 years of experience within regulated markets such as insurance or banking, with deep expertise in financial risk management.
- You are pragmatic, a strategic thinker and a collaborative problem solver.
- You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with high integrity and an open-minded approach.
- You thrive in a role requiring strong stakeholder management and enjoy engaging with and constructively challenging senior stakeholders.
- You are comfortable working in a large, multinational environment and have the adaptability to operate across diverse cultures and sectors.
