Investment Associate for Venture and New business

Role Summary 
We are now looking for an Investment Associate to join Scania's Venture Capital team within Ventures and New Business.
In this role, you will be a key player in identifying, evaluating, and executing VC investments across strategic sectors, working end-to-end in the investment lifecycle. You will be part of a tight-knit investment team and contribute through research, analysis, due diligence, and portfolio support.

As an Investment Associate, you will play a central role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing VC investments across a various strategic sectors. You’ll contribute throughout the entire investment process—from identifying opportunities to monitoring portfolio companies—while ensuring alignment with Scania’s strategic goals.


Key responsibilities include:
•    Sourcing and evaluation: Proactively identify and assess high-potential investment opportunities.
•    Research and analysis: Conduct deep market research, value chain assessments, and business model evaluations to support investment decisions.
•    Due diligence: Lead and coordinate comprehensive due diligence processes across commercial, financial, legal, tax, and technical dimensions.
•    Investment preparation: Build investment theses and prepare structured recommendations for internal investment committees.
•    Strategic alignment: Ensure investments support Scania’s long-term resilience and objectives through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Portfolio monitoring: Track portfolio performance, analyze results, and deliver insightful reports and presentations to internal stakeholders.

We also believe that you (requirements):  
•    Have a relevant academic background, e.g., finance, business, engineering, or similar  
•    Bring 3+ years of relevant experience from strategy consulting, investment banking, VC, or PE 
•    Have strong financial modeling, analytical, and valuation expertise
•    Have excellent written and verbal communications skills
•    Are detail oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced enviroment
