Role Summary

About the role

Do you enjoy working with payroll end-to-end, combining accuracy with great stakeholder service? In this role, you will support employees and managers across Scania Sweden and help ensure a high-quality, compliant and efficient payroll process. With around 23,000 payslips processed each month and multiple system integrations, you’ll work with a varied workload that ranges from day-to-day case handling to process improvements.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Manage payroll cases end-to-end, including new hires, employment changes and terminations, absences, allowances, deductions and other payroll inputs
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to employees and managers
  • Perform quality checks to ensure accurate payroll input and output
  • Maintain payroll-related documentation and records
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by being an active participant in development initiatives within the team
  • Contribute and represent Payroll in different projects related to digitalization, automation and process improvements
  • Support yearly activities such as calendar-year and vacation-year transitions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Scania and with external parties such as suppliers and authorities when needed

Your Profile

You are structured, communicative and service-minded, with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. You enjoy collaborating in a team environment and you care about quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

Required qualifications

 

  • Vocational higher education qualification in payroll (YH, 1.5–2 years) and at least 2 years of end-to-end payroll experience, or 5+ years of operational payroll experience
  • Good knowledge of payroll-related laws and regulations
  • Experience working with different collective bargaining agreements
  • Professional proficiency in both Swedish and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong collaboration skills and a proactive, service-oriented approach

Nice to have

 

  • Experience with the SD Worx payroll system
  • Experience working under the Engineering Agreement (Teknikavtalet)

About the team

 

Payroll is one of five departments within People Services Sweden and includes 24 colleagues. The team combines a wide range of experience and expertise, with a supportive culture where we help each other out and share knowledge.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Södertälje, Sweden. A background check will be carried out as part of the recruitment process.
