Role Summary

 

As Public Affairs Manager at Scania and TRATON Group, you will help shape the policy environment for sustainable transport and automotive competitiveness. You will act as a trusted policy expert, coordinate strategic policy issues across Sweden, Europe and globally, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will also support the organization with policy advice and analysis.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate, evaluate and develop Scania’s strategic policy priorities at national, European and global level.
  • Monitor and analyze policy developments within our sector.
  • Lead projects and mobilize relevant parts of Scania and the TRATON group to ensure one voice within the group.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external networks with stakeholders, policymakers, authorities and industry associations.
  • Prepare comprehensive high-quality briefings for executive management, provide strategic advice for colleagues in the organization and the local business units in advocacy work.

Who You Are

 

  • A highly valued team player, have an entrepreneurial spirit and are an excellent communicator in your area of expertise.
  • Structured, proactive and have experience in policy work and project management.
  • A self-motivated and creative person with analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Are both strategic and tactical in your mindset and able to build strong relationships internally as well as externally.
  • Have an experience from some kind of industry policy work, for example within the political/governmental side or similar (lobby or industry organization) and be well oriented in both the Swedish and the EU political landscape.

 

Education

  • You have a Master’s degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of working experience.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Swedish, spoken and written, is required.

You will work in global team together with colleagues within the TRATON Group. The closest colleagues work from Södertälje as part of the Strategy and Communications team and in close co-operation with the Regulatory Affairs team and the Sustainability team.
