Job Responsibilities

As a Sales Manager in the Defence team, you will have global commercial responsibility for the business area. You will work closely with the ILS managers in our team, Scania’s sales and services companies, and colleagues within R&D, Purchasing, and After Sales. You will be involved in all phases of the sales process, including prospecting, lobbying, quotation, negotiation, solution development, and delivery. Your responsibility is to lead the commercial aspects throughout the sales process, ensuring that Scania's strategic goals are met.

 

Together with the Scania distributor, you will aim to mitigate risks and secure Scania’s consolidated profitability according to defined goals. You will continuously strive to understand customer demands and turn them into new business opportunities. As a growing team, you will be part of shaping our strategy and how we work with our customers and partners, ensuring that our approach is both customer-focused and strategically sound.

Who You Are

You have solid experience in complex solution sales and are comfortable in an international business environment. Experience in Defence, public procurement, and tendering processes, as well as knowledge of commercial contracts and long service contracts, is highly valued. Experience from offset deals and international trade is meriting. You possess a strong commercial mindset and excellent communication and negotiation skills. You can manage a strategic holistic approach while working with detailed information.

 

Excellent communication skills are required for interaction with our customers and other stakeholders. Technical and commercial knowledge about Scania’s products and services is highly valued. You have a relevant university degree in business, engineering, or political science. Excellent English skills are required, and the ability to conduct business in Swedish, French, German, Polish, and/or Spanish is meriting.
