Senior Group Investigator

Role Summary

In this role, you will support the Scania Whistleblowing System by conducting investigations, analyzing financial and business data, and ensuring the professional closure of cases. You will contribute to identifying misconduct, compliance breaches, fraud risks, conflicts of interest, and other irregularities through structured investigation methods and strong professional judgment. You will work in accordance with Scania’s investigation guidelines, respecting individual rights, local legislation, confidentiality requirements, and applicable labour agreements. The role requires high integrity, sound judgment, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct and manage internal investigations, including fact-finding, document review, interviews, and evidence assessment.

• Perform detailed analysis of financial, accounting, procurement, transactional, and business data to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential misconduct.

• Use advanced data analytics techniques to support investigation findings and risk assessments.

• Provide clear recommendations for remedial, corrective, or disciplinary actions where appropriate.

• Draft investigation reports, closure statements, presentations, and summaries for internal stakeholders.

• Present investigation findings and status updates in a timely, clear, and professional manner.

• Support the investigation team throughout all investigation phases and advise on related compliance, governance, and process issues.

• Contribute to the development of investigation policies, manuals, tools, and methodologies.

• Proactively identify trends, root causes, and control weaknesses.

• Act with high integrity, independence, and discretion, while seeking practical and well-balanced solutions.

Who You Are

• Master’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, business administration, law, or a related field.

• 6+ years of experience handling investigations in an international company or law firm.

• Strong financial, accounting, and business analysis skills.

• Excellent data analytics skills, with the ability to identify trends, inconsistencies, red flags, and patterns in complex information.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex and sensitive cases independently.

• Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders and handle difficult situations professionally.

• Fluency in written and spoken English and Swedish. Additional languages are considered an advantage.

• Demonstrate high ethical standards, discretion and sound judgment.
