Our values – customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste – are at the heart of everything we do.

Role Summary

Take the lead in architecting the Simulation Enablement Flow as a first-class service—enhancing user experience, ensuring solution modularity, driving transparency, and enabling cross-site scalability in alignment with the OnePDP (One Product Development Process).

You will play a key role in transitioning from local implementations to common, standardized solutions—laying the foundation for a global simulation service that reliably meets customer expectations. This is a forward-looking initiative, where you will work closely with our customers and collaborate with highly skilled, cross-functional teams across multiple regions.

As this is a global role with a footprint in Sweden, Germany, India, Brazil, the US, and China, some travel will be required.

Job Responsibility

  • Define the reference architecture for simulation enablement to support the Simulation Community in the R&D flow landscape across sites. This, while considering modularity, alignment with business plans, and governance aligned to OnePDP.
  • Lead architectural runway and enablers that accelerate early-phase initiatives and shorten time-to-market plans.
  • Champion the mindset “same need, same solution” to maximize reuse and reduce maintenance over time.
  • Collaborate with other VCT/VCF triads to ensure that our design patterns are compatible and extensible.
  • Work with our teams to set common infrastructure requirements to support all solutions delivered to our VCT.
  • Reduce variant complexity via common architecture patterns while preserving customer offering breadth.
  • Codify ways of working and knowledge transfer across sites; drive adoption of standard methods - together with the teams.

Tech you’ll touch

  • High Performance Computing schedulers & orchestration with Infra structure as Code
  • Software-driven job submission and automation (e.g.,Slurm, Jobbergate), GitLab CI/CD, Python.
  • Observability, artifact/version management, policy-as-code for validation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Interface towards Product Data Management and Product Lifecycle Management systems such as Catia, Enovia, OAS, Windchill.

Who You Are

  • You have scaled modular ways-of-working across multi-site orgs; energized focus groups to align architecture
  • You balanced near-term value with long-horizon investments in common design strategies
  • You have practical experience leading increment planning, prioritization, and architectural decision records
  • You have a background bridging mechanical, simulation, and software stakeholders under a single architectural model
  • You are comfortable with portfolio-level transparency and flow metrics
  • You have foundational knowledge in software development or/and in High Performance Computing (HPC)
  • Your are fluent in English, both spoken and written

Core qualifications

  • 7+ years from product development, software development or High Performance Computing, with recent leadership in architecture or platform roles
  • Comfortable setting ART (Agile Release Train) -level guardrails, Non-Functional Requirements, and architectural runway; strong communicator across engineering and product
  • Proven cross-site collaboration; able to scale methods and drive adoption

Nice to have

  • Previous experience as a leader and leading towards a common goal
  • Experience from change management to help facilitate our transition from local to global
  • Knowledge in architectural design patterns
  • Nice if you speak German or Swedish as well
  • Understanding of how our products are developed with support from our CAD/PLM environment
