The responsibility of Group Product Management is to balance the commercial needs with industrial solutions and steer the funding of capabilities to reach the result defined by the TRATON Executive Board. To secure outstanding customer value we are building a business and market driven product and service management organization. We are continuously strengthening the collaboration with the brands to better capture the customer and business needs in our product and service development.

The EE & Software team is responsible for the Group Product Planning of EE & Software: we are developing and maintaining the product roadmaps together with the brands in the TRATON Group. We initiate the right products at the right time and secure that they are funded. We accomplish this through close collaboration with our brand product planning and colleagues in our industrial function departments.

Now we are looking for a Product Manager – EE & Software who finds it meaningful to collaborate with different parties in an international environment in order to build a successful team and support our TRATON mission to become the global champion in the commercial vehicle industry.

TRATON offers this position at the TRATON office in Södertälje, Sweden, with starting date as soon as possible. This position will require some flexibility for travel and meeting the brands at their locations (e.g. Germany, USA, Brasil).

YOUR JOB

• Manage and lead the existing & future TRATON Group Product Portfolio roadmaps in the field of EE & Software for any of our areas, from customer needs to start of project within the TRATON product development process
• Work towards a 360 degree view on our roadmaps which is also cross functionally aligned
• Evaluate and prioritize product needs and ideas with regards to their market, customer & business impact and identify cross brand synergies
• Support and drive budget planning and management
• Apply modularization principles and user factor methodology in our areas
• Daily contact with managers and engineers within the group; facilitating and managing the decision process
• Preparation of top management presentations for decision making

YOUR SKILLS

• You have a Master's degree in in the field of engineering (e.g. Electrical Engineering, System Development, Software Engineering) or a similar field/ comparable education/ background.
• You have solid experience (minimum 3 years) in Product management/Product marketing/Product planning or comparable field (experience with one of TRATON Group's brands commercial side is welcome, as well as experience in the field of EE & Software within other industries).
• You are a great team player and have strong analytical and communication skills
• You have great collaboration abilities and appreciate a customer-first approach
• You are a driven, self-motivated and structured person with a high level of integrity.
• You easily prepare and present high-quality presentations to executives
• You enjoy working in a complex and strategic environment dealing with technical, commercial and financial topics. You have a broad knowledge in all of these fields
• You are future oriented and solution based.
• You would like to work in an international climate with all the joy and challenges that comes along with it.
• You are committed to continuous learning and are adaptable to a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent English skills required and other languages are welcome.
