Technical Manager
Are you structured, technically curious, and motivated by solving real operational problems? Do you want to work hands-on with data, systems, and remote troubleshooting in the transition to electric heavy-duty transport? Then you might be the new Technical Manager at Erinion!
About Erinion
Erinion designs, builds and operates depot and destination charging solutions for heavy-duty vehicles. As part of the Scania Group, we combine the strength of a global transport leader with the agility of a fast-growing company. Our approach focuses on energy efficiency and optimal utilisation, ensuring that electrification is not only sustainable but also financially and commercially viable for our customers. We support different ways of financing, owning and operating charging sites, so that each customer can find the model that best fits their business. With operations across eight European markets and global expansion underway, we enable transport operators to electrify their fleets with confidence and long-term profitability.
The role
As Technical Manager, you are part of the Customer Operations team, responsible for uptime and customer experience. You will own the technical integrity of our charging ecosystem, ensuring that CMS, chargers, vehicles, and related systems work together reliably.
You are responsible for validation of new EVSE integrations, mapping EV capabilities, and ensuring a structured handover to Operations. Your work reduces uncertainty, prevents incidents, and enables stable operations from day one.
You also act as the internal technical expert and 2nd line support, working with integrations, troubleshooting, and validation of new hardware and system configurations. The role combines deep technical work in systems with hands-on field testing across Europe.
Your Responsibilities
Integrations & Validation
- Own validation of new EVSE integrations and ensure reliable performance in real conditions
- Map and verify EV capabilities, system behavior, and integration constraints
- Ensure structured handover to Operations, enabling stable and scalable operations
- Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to product and operational development
Technical Ownership
- Act as technical lead and escalation point for integrations and complex issues
- Perform deep troubleshooting across hardware, firmware, networks, and protocols
- Conduct root cause analysis and ensure clear documentation
- Support both remote investigations and occasional on-site technical work
Field Testing & Improvement
- Plan and execute field tests, pre-live validations, and on-site measurements
- Collaborate with OEMs and partners in real environments
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is structured and analytical with strong attention to detail. You have a strong problem-solving mindset and focus on identifying root causes. You take ownership of technical outcomes. You are hands-on and curious, with a drive to understand how things actually work. You are comfortable working across both systems and real-world charging environments, and communicate clearly in technical contexts.
We believe you will bring:
Technical competence
- Solid understanding of charging systems, integrations, and connected hardware
- Comfortable working with logs, system behavior, and technical documentation
- Familiarity with protocols such as OCPP is a strong plus
Experience
- Background in technical roles within energy, EV, automotive, or similar domains
- Experience working with testing, validation, or integration-related tasks
- Ability to drive technical topics across multiple stakeholders and markets
- Comfortable balancing deep technical work with field activities
Location and travel
- Based in Sweden (Stockholm area preferred)
- Occasional travel within Europe for field testing (typically short trips, around once per month)
