Role Summary

This role is open exclusively to internal candidates within TRATON Group R&D in Södertälje.

 

As Unit Manager – Emission Technology, you lead a specialist team of ten employees and coordinate external partners responsible for emission measurement equipment. The role combines people leadership with responsibility for developing and securing advanced emission measurement technology used in both test rigs and test vehicles.

You play a key role in ensuring high technical availability, compliance with legislation and standards, and harmonized ways of working across cost, quality, and timing. Through strong leadership and collaboration, you create the conditions for both people and technology to perform at a high level.

 

Job Responsibilities

As Unit Manager, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of specialists within emission measurement technology
  • Secure high technical availability and performance of emission measurement systems across test environments
  • Drive development of measurement technology in line with product project requirements, standards, and legislation
  • Coordinate internal and external calibration activities to ensure measurement traceability
  • Act as a subject-matter expert, supporting ongoing assignments and development projects
  • Harmonize and standardize technology, methods, and processes with focus on cost, timing, and quality
  • Contribute actively to the global Measurement Systems & Quality management team and strengthen cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role
  • Strong technical background in metrology or measurement systems
  • Interest and experience within emission measurement technologies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships
  • Fluency in Swedish and English; German is considered an advantage
