Role Summary

The unit Engine Concept & Optimization Otto (TGRPSPO) is responsible for the concept development, performance, and emissions of our successful five- and six-cylinder gaseous fuel engines.

 

The current manager is moving to new challenges in the gaseous fuel engine area within Traton Group R&D and we are looking for you, the successor.

Job Responsibilities

In your role, you will lead and support a diverse unit of competent developers and give them the right prerequisites to develop and optimize the properties of our the world's best gaseous fuel engines.

 

You will take an active role in the Engine Performance & Emissions Integration management team as well as in the development flow and will work with many other R&D groups within Traton to secure the integration hardware and software of sub-systems.

As a leader, you communicate expectations and know that feedback is crucial to benefit the development of both team and individual and create a positive team spirit.

 

You probably have a master's degree in engineering or have acquired equivalent knowledge during your working life, preferably with a background in engine optimization, engine management systems or the design of performance and emissions-affecting parts.

This Is Us

The unit has a development scope ranging from early concept development through product development and support to engine production and product follow-up. The unit is responsible for the performance and emissions of the gaseous fuel engines. Work is carried out in cross-functional teams with colleagues from hardware and software development. Testing in test beds, both single cylinders for combustion system development and full engine and in climatic test trips are key methods for the group.
