Role Summary

 

 As Unit Manager for High Performance Platform Software (CHIPPS), you will lead a team of skilled software engineers responsible for integrating and maintaining operating systems like QNX and Linux across TRATON’s High Performance ECUs. You will play a strategic role in shaping our software platform, empowering application developers, and driving the Software Defined Vehicle vision forward.

 


Job Responsibilities 

 

Your main tasks will be:


•    Designing, building and optimizing section capacities and capabilities
•    Supporting the VCT-triad and Section Head in shaping the technological strategy and roadmap
•    Ensuring alignment with global ways of working and managing unit-level escalations
•    Supporting resource and capacity planning in collaboration with the Global Section Head
•    Leading personnel management: recruiting, hiring, developing, and succession planning
•    Recruiting and supporting Scrum Masters within the development flow landscape

 


Who You Are 

 

You are an experienced leader within Electrical Engineering or IT, preferably with a background in the automotive industry. You hold a relevant university degree and ideally bring additional experience from purchasing, production, or project leadership. Most importantly, you are passionate about people and excel at creating a strong, motivated, and collaborative team environment. Your leadership inspires trust, fosters growth, and drives performance in times of change.

Our unit develops, integrates, and delivers a modular, high-performance software platform for central ECUs in the TRATON Modular System. This platform enables fast and high-quality application development by decoupling hardware from software and aligning with the highest safety and security standards. We support developers with efficient, standardized processes, methods, and tools, rooted in automotive and industry best practices.

 

Our unit focuses specifically on the integration and maintenance of POSIX-based operating systems, such as QNX and Linux, within the CHIPPS platform.
