Unit Manager - TGRPPOE Emissions on Vehicles SWE

Role Summary

As Unit Manager for Emissions on Vehicles (PEMS), you’ll play a key role in shaping how we test and develop future-proof solutions – in close collaboration with colleagues across Sweden, Germany, and Brazil.

In this role, you will lead a team of 7 Senior engineers who work both operationally – planning and conducting vehicle testing – and strategically within the global TRATON organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Strengthen knowledge sharing and best practice across the TRATON Group, particularly within PEMS testing.
  
  
• Build and maintain strong, solution-oriented relationships with stakeholders across TRATON R&D, BID entities, and production facilities.
  
  
• Be an active part of the Section Management Team alongside colleagues from Sweden, Germany, and Brazil.

Who You Are

You are an experienced leader (5+ years) who thrives in developing both people and processes and You are confident in leading through change and creating clarity and motivation even in complex situations.
You enjoy building inclusive, high-performing teams where individuals feel trusted and empowered. You believe in collaboration and continuous improvement as key enablers for success.

Ideally, you bring experience from engine, aftertreatment, or control systems development within Scania, MAN, or International. Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English are essential for success in this role.

This Is Us

At TRATON Powertrain Testing Domain, we drive development forward by testing both internal combustion engines (ICE) and e-mobility technologies. Our operations span across Södertälje, Nürnberg, and São Paulo, where we combine hands-on testing with cutting-edge system development.

Within the section Operation ICE, we lead the way in engine testing – primarily in our own test beds, but also through external partners when needed. The section also includes two units dedicated to automation and test cell development, along with a unit responsible for vehicle emission measurements using PEMS (Portable Emissions Measurement Systems). PEMS testing is carried out in both Södertälje and São Paulo, on trucks and off-road applications, ensuring we stay at the forefront of emission compliance and sustainability.
