Plan and perform administrative activities. Establish policies and prepare rationalization programs. Focus on developing administrative systems and structures to enhance the efficiency of subordinate areas and support functions in accordance with the pre-established parameters of technical and economic feasibility.
Job Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction
Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
Performance Management
Manage and report on performance within the department or area of responsibility; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
Budgeting
Develop and/or deliver budget plans with guidance from senior colleagues.
Policies and Procedures Development
Draft policies, procedures, and related guidelines within an area of expertise to meet defined key principles and ensure compliance with external requirements.
Continuous Improvement
Lead the review of existing operations and the implementation of innovation processes across the department or sub-function to ensure the required continuous improvement outcomes are delivered.
Administration
Work on complex administrative processes and databases to develop and test administrative procedures to ensure they are fully in line with organizational needs.
Document Management
Create and ensure compliance with a global company wide document management system.
Document Preparation
Edit document in line with organizational style guidelines and prepare information for publication.
Internal Client Relationship Management
Contribute to the management of partnering relationships with internal clients, building effective working relationships and providing high-quality professional services to support in delivering business strategy and plans.
Operational Compliance
Monitor and review performance and behaviors within area of responsibility to identify and resolve non-compliance with the organization's policies and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct.
Organizational Capability Building
Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions to build their capabilities. Provide training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
