About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join our team. This role provides end-to-end HR support, partnering with managers to deliver practical, compliant and people-focused solutions across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR advice and support to the business, ensuring consistent application of policies and processes
  • Provide guidance on employment relations matters, including conducting investigations and supporting disciplinary processes
  • Partner with the Head of People & Culture to support current and future organisational requirements
  • Support organisational initiatives
  • Assist with learning and development initiatives
  • Support recruitment activities as required
  • Support the promotion of a positive safety culture across the business, and provide guidance to managers on health and safety matters as required.
  • Assist with monitoring health and safety activities, including incidents, reporting and corrective actions
  • Support safety-related initiatives, training and committee activities

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline, and/or relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience in industrial and employee relations, with sound working knowledge of related legislation, principles and best practice
  • Demonstrated experience in performance management and coaching
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail capabilities
  • Well‑developed analytical, reporting and continuous improvement skills
  • Working knowledge of NZ Health & Safety legislation is advantageous
  • Willingness to build capability in health and safety
  • Previous experience within the automotive or a related industry (desirable)
