Scania New Zealand is seeking someone highly motivated and experienced in Project Management to lead strategic initiatives and support executive operations. This exciting dual-role offers a unique opportunity to manage impactful projects while working closely with the Managing Director and Executive Management Team.
About the Role
This position is split between Project Management (70%) and Executive Administrative Support (30%), offering variety, challenge, and the chance to make a real difference.
Project Management Responsibilities
Project Preparation
- Develop strategic project plans, budgets, and risk management frameworks
- Establish project structures and review directives for improvement
- Present project proposals and plans to the executive team
Project Execution
- Lead and manage project delivery, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets
- Monitor performance metrics and report progress
- Facilitate stakeholder communication and lead project meetings
- Identify and escalate risks or deviations early
- Motivate and guide project teams to achieve goals
Project Conclusion
- Ensure successful project closure and fulfilment
- Prepare and present final reports
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the Scania Way
Executive Administrative Support
- Act as a key liaison between the Managing Director, EMT, and wider business
- Coordinate communication with customers, branches, and departments
- Manage calendars, meeting logistics, and executive deliverables
- Organise internal and external functions and events

What You’ll Bring
- Extensive experience in end-to-end project management
- Strong commercial acumen with budget and risk management expertise
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Formal qualifications in project management or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience in retail operations, particularly in sales and service, is highly regarded
