HR Specialist

Role Summary

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Specialist to join our People & Culture team.

📍 Location: Zagreb

In this role, you will support managers and employees in day-to-day HR matters, with a strong focus on employee relations, recruitment, and annual people planning and budgeting. You will play an important role in ensuring smooth HR operations, providing guidance in employee-related matters, and contributing to the preparation of the annual market plan for the upcoming year, including headcount planning, salary increase planning, hiring needs, and personnel cost forecasting.

This is a broad HR role that combines operational HR work with business support and requires a structured, service-minded, and solution-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR contact for managers and employees in day-to-day people matters
  • Support and advise managers on employee relations topics, including performance issues, absence management, disciplinary matters, and general employee support
  • Ensure employee relations cases are handled professionally, consistently, and in line with local labor legislation and internal policies
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, communication with hiring managers, and offer preparation
  • Support onboarding activities and help ensure a positive employee experience from the start
  • Contribute to the annual people planning and budgeting process for the upcoming year, including salary increase planning, headcount planning, new hire planning, and personnel cost forecasting
  • Partner with managers to collect, validate, and consolidate input related to workforce plans and people costs
  • Prepare HR reports, analyses, and relevant people data to support planning and decision-making
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and ensure compliance with internal processes and legal requirements
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of HR processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and business-oriented work environment

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HR experience
  • Solid experience in employee relations and recruitment
  • Experience with annual people planning, headcount planning, salary review processes, or personnel cost planning
  • Good understanding of local labor legislation and core HR processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-driven way of working
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with HR data
  • Experience with SuccessFactors is considered an advantage
  • Fluent in Croatian and English
